Last month, Citynet purchased Morgantown, WV based Veritech Consulting Services. This strategic move was taken to position Citynet into a true One-Stop-Shop by allowing us to provide our business customers every aspect of communications services. Citynet can now provide everything from circuit design, the circuit itself, and all services up to and including repair of the desktop computer.     In past months, we have highlighted many of the existing and new products and services that Citynet offers to our customers.     We conducted an audit of a company not long ago featured here in our newsletter. That audit showed that a VoIP (Digital Phone) solution would save some serious cash and be far more efficient.     Our People
    This month we are showcasing two individuals that are the face of Citynet to our customers. One is a well deserved promotion, and the other is a new member of our sales team.

    Carolyn Barr has just been promoted to Vice President.
    Service Delivery, Citynet Retail Division. Carolyn has been with Citynet since January 2006 and has served in a number of increasingly important roles. Most recently, Carolyn was responsible for Citynet’s sales support activities and circuit provisioning teams. She will continue to oversee those areas and will add the Customer Care Call Center to her responsibilities.

    Carolyn has enjoyed a 30 year career in telecommunications having held various management positions with AT&T, MCI, and most recently, WV Fibernet. Her background in both sales and supporting technologies serves her well as she has managed many high-profile accounts including Federal Government, Department of Labor, Army Corps of Engineers and other government agencies.

    Jimmy Hunter – Client Account Manager, Retail Operations.
    Jimmy comes to Citynet with a strong customer support background in telecommunications. Prior to joining Citynet, Hunter spent 3 years as Service Coordinator with Winstar Communications. Before that, he was in sales at Cavalier Telephone where he was honored numerous times for his achievements. He briefly left the telecommunications industry to work in the mortgage industry as a closing agent and mortgage broker.

    Customer service has been a very strong emphasis during his work history and will serve him well in his current responsibilities at Citynet. Jimmy will concentrate on continued business relationships with existing customers and perform telecommunications audits for existing and prospective clients. He is a graduate of Ohio University with a BS in Telecommunications. Jimmy is based in Columbus, OH.
