Citynet CEO Jim Martin Wins SBA Award
West Virginia 2009 Entrepreneurial Success Award: Jim Martin

Each year the United States Small Business Administration, with the assistance of their regional offices, acknowledges the success of entrepreneurs with an award ceremony honoring the brightest and the best.  The award recipients are nominated for a specific category by a member of the community and compete against other nominations from around the State or a multi-state region.  This is done to showcase Small Business Week in June of each year.

This year, 10 people (and their respective businesses) have been selected as West Virginia’s 2009 Entrepreneurial Success award recipients.   One of the award winners, selected as the 2009 Entrepreneurial Success award winner is Jim Martin, President/CEO of Citynet.

In her letter advising Jim of his status as a key winner, Judy McCauley, District Director of the West Virginia District Office said, “As the director of the SBA’s West Virginia District Office, I am very proud to be able to celebrate Small Business Week.  Each year since 1963, the President has issued a proclamation calling for the celebration of Small Business Week.  The event recognizes outstanding small business owners and champions for their personal success and contributions to our economy.  This year, SBA will honor an estimated 25 million small businesses throughout America.  They represents more than 99 percent of all employers, provide 75 percent of net new jobs, and generate a majority of our innovations.Congratulations on your selection as West Virginia’s 2009 Entrepreneurial Success award recipient.  It is an honor to be selcted among your peers for this award, and I am thrilled to be able to acknowledge you as our 2009 Entrepreneurial Success award winner.”

We at Citynet are proud of our leader and of our company.

Congratulations, Jim!
